One out of every four individuals who die in the United States is a Veteran. And Veterans often have unique needs at end-of-life.​

VIA Health Partners staff members receive ongoing training throughout the year to address the unique healthcare needs of Veterans, both physical and emotional, including the psychological toll of war and how it impacts their end-of-life journey. In some cases, Veteran patients are paired with volunteers who have also served their country and share a unique and honorable bond. Each Veteran under our care receives acknowledgement for their service in a small, private observance that concludes with the presentation of a commemorative pin. The pin is our way of saying "thank you" to the brave men and women who have protected the freedom of our country.​​
