Insurance and Other Benefits
Hospice Cleveland County offers generous, competitive benefits for employees.  Regular part-time employees qualify for Paid Time Off, holidays, and the 403(b) retirement plan.  Regular full-time employees also qualify for health, dental, life, and long term disability insurance, and jury duty pay. 

Insurance Coverage

Health Insurance
HCC pays a significant percentage of the premium cost for the employee’s coverage.  Coverage is effective on the first day of the month following the employee’s date of hire.

Dental Insurance
Dental Insurance benefits are provided for regular full-time employees.  Coverage is effective on the first day of the month following thirty days of employment.

Life Insurance
HCC will pay 100% of the life insurance coverage for all regular full-time employees.

Long Term Disability Insurance
Long Term Disability Insurance is provided for all regular full-time employees.  Benefits start ninety days after injury.

Professional Liability Insurance
HCC carries professional liability insurance for all employees.

Other Benefits

Education Reimbursement
HCC will reimburse regular full-time employees for approved educational courses.

Employee Assistance Program
An Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is available to regular full-time and regular part-time employees at no cost.  The EAP provides confidential assessment, short-term professional counseling, and referral services to resolve problems that are affecting the employee or the employee’s household.  Employees and members of their household may use the EAP on a self-referral basis.

Flexible Spending Account
The Flexible Spending Account (FSA) is a type of savings account that allows employees to set aside a portion of their earnings to pay for qualified medical and dependent care expenses.  Money deducted from the employee’s pay into the FSA is not subject to payroll taxes. 

Holidays
The office will be closed on the following seven (7) paid holidays:  New Years Day, Easter Monday, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.  If the holiday falls on a Saturday, it will be observed on the preceding Friday.  If the holiday falls on a Sunday, it will be observed on the following Monday.

Paid Time Off
Paid Time Off (PTO) is provided to all regular full-time and regular part-time employees.  All vacation, sick, bereavement, and personal time are combined into one category as PTO.  PTO hours are accrued on a per pay period basis.   The amount of PTO earned each pay period is based on years of service.

Retirement Plan – 403 (b) Plan
The 403 (b) Plan is a retirement savings plan funded by employee contributions and by matching contributions from HCC.  Employee contributions to the 403 (b) Plan are taken from pre-tax income by payroll deduction.  HCC will match the employee contribution to the 403 (b) Plan each pay period up to a maximum of gross compensation.

Wellness Program
Each regular employee is provided with the opportunity to join a YMCA for wellness purposes.  HCC will pay the initial joining fee and a portion of the monthly membership fee.
